Default Directory

I am trying to change the default location for file storage of my web pages
so I don't have to navigate to it every time. I have followed the
instructions for updating my registry (where I'm quite comfortable), but FP
is still defaulting to "My Webs" directory and it doesn't allow me to
navigate to the directory where I'm storing my pages. It would be nice to
have the directory I desire as my default (as is possible in every other
application I've ever dealt with). What am I missing here?

FPclean didn't help. But today I tried going up one level and it accepted
the new directory. I can direct it to the root, but not to my folder.
