Default document is "document2" ?

Hey. Everytime I open Word 2003, the default document is "document2" and
not 1. I tried searching for the "Normal.dot" template, but it seems I have
found several, about 4 or 5 in separate folders. Anything I could do to
restore the document to "document1" as it should be?

Sounds like you might have some orphaned files left behind from the last time
