Default Email Notification Settings

I have not been able to find an area in the Project Server setup that will
allow me to edit the default settings for email notifications. Apparently,
the Project Server has it's own set defaults, and the users can then
customize personally from there, but there is not a place to edit those
initial settings. Is that correct?

That's where I ended up -- this allows you to setup the email servers and
determine when the notifications will be sent, but it doesn't give you
granular configuration -- like turning off "Notify users of new task
assignments" by default.

Jonathan,

I don't think that option is there in Project. May be some tweaking in
database / PDS might help.

PWA users can individually turn off that feature for themselves. See this

The other thing is if you don't use email functionality in Project more
often, then you can turn it off so as to avoid too many emails. But then your
project user have to go to PWA to look for updated tasks / assignments.
