Default Excel Sheet of Specific Size?

Processor: Intel

I would like the single sheet in my custom default workbook to show exactly 10 columns and 100 rows and nothing else.

I know how to hide rows and columns but it seems like they keep recreating themselves. Can someone please explain how to create a new sheet that will always be exactly 10 columns x 100 rows?

Obviously I'm not a power Excel user so one-syllable words would probably be wise at this point. ;-}

Here's a one syllable word for ya - No :)

Seriously, the number of rows & columns in Excel worksheets is fixed &
cannot be altered. However...

I take it you mean "recreating themselves" when you create a new sheet, not
in a sheet where you've already hidden columns/rows. What you can do is
design the sheet as you wish. See Excel Help on the topic:

Add a custom sheet to the Elements Gallery

You can also create a workbook template with the sheet spec'd into it along
with any other customizing. Again, Help on the topic:

Change the format and settings for new workbooks

Uhhhh, that would NOT be the one-syllable word I was looking for!!! ;-}

Maybe I should have asked if there is a way to hide everything except my 10 columns and 100 rows? For example, is there a way to select all of the rows from row 101 to the last fixed row in order to hide them? Seems like the more rows I hide the more there are to hide.

Hope that's a little more clear. And I respectfully request different syllables in this answer, please. "Yes, there is a way" has a nice ring to it. ;-}}}}}

How's this: Sure!

Click the Column Heading of Column K then key Shift+Command+Right Arrow &
Hide those columns. Then click the Row Heading of Row 101, key
Shift+Command+Down Arrow to select then Hide the selected rows.

"How's this: Sure!"

Now there's a perfect answer -- succinct and tells me what I want to hear. ;-}

Thanks again for all of your help on both of the questions I posted.

Glad to help. If you need to have sheets of that nature routinely see the
other reply about creating a custom sheet.
