Default Expiry for email

Hi !

There are 2 places to control the expiry:

1. When in email, I can select option and then click on expiry. The
default is always 5pm on the same day. I would like to know how I
can change this default. I would like to set it to a long time, eg, 1
month.

2. In Tools->Option->E-mail Option->Advanced E-mail Option, there is
a

When sending a email,
Message expire after xxx days.

I'm not referring to this one as I don;t want all my emails to
expire.

Thanks.

Do you have a clear question? It is hard to understand exactly what you are asking.

Sorry, my question was embedded in item 1. The question is: I would
like to know how I can change the expiry default date/time. It's
always set to the same day at 5pm. Thanks.

When you say "preset", which option are you referring to ? In the
first scenario or 2nd in my 1st post ?

When I write the email, I want to click on Option and click expire.
The exipry date is alway the same day at 5pm. I want to change it to
say 1 month. Is that possible ?

That is what the preset was designed for. The Option in new message is a
just calendar that displays the current day. If you want 30 days set the
Preset to 30 days. If you want a particular message to not expire, then
UNcheck the expire box for that message.
