default font and size in Word 2000 headers & footers

Setting a default font type and font size in Word is easy
in the Normal.dot. Anyone know how to set a different
default font type and font size for the headers and
footers?

For example, I like to use Arial 8 for the date in the
header, but use Times New Roman 12 for my documents.

Any ideas? Thanks
