Default Font in Access 2002

Using Office XP Professional under Vista Home Premium 32bit on Dell Laptop
1710.
MSAccess: I have just found out that I can't change the default Font using
Tools, Options, datasheet, Font

The dropdown list is blank.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution. I've checked with
Google and found 2 sites which identify a similar problem but no solution.

I haven't seen this problem for many years (I last replied to a post about
this issue on July 14, 2005), but "back then" the problem was too many fonts
loaded into the Fonts folder. ACCESS for some reason has a limitation lower
than other MS software. When you exceed some "size" limitation, the fonts
disappear from the dropdown list.

Try deleting one font at a time and check the dropdown list. When you've
deleted the "magic" last one, the list will suddenly reappear!

Thanks Ken,
I had to delete all fonts taking >1Mb and this finally worked!
Windows would not allow me to delete them so I had to use a rescue disk to
access and delete the fonts, rebooting after each batch.
