Default font in Outlook e-mail

All of a sudden, the default e-mail message font in Outlook is underlined. I
cannot turn it off. I've been to tools, options, mail format, fonts; the
font is NOT underlined there. Yet every time I open a new message, the font
is underlined. I must manually remove the underlining feature. Can anyone
tell me how to turn it off?

Larry,
I have seen this happen before. I'm not sure if this is the best fix for
it, but if you go into tools/options/mail format and uncheck the box that
says use word 2003 to edit e-mail messages it seems to fix it. Again I'm not
sure if this is the best fix, but it has worked.

I had the same problem as you and couldn't resolve it, so had a look in this
discussion group and found your post and Chad J's response.

Chad J is right that turning of Using Word as your Editor works. However,
in trying that I also discovered that my default in Word had Underline
switched on. I removed that from Word, kept Word as my Email Editor and lo
and behold me email text is no loger underlined.

Hope this helps
