Default font

Within Outlook 2002 I have chosen to use Word 2002 as my
default e-mail editor. However, the problem that I'm
encountering is that within Word 2002 I have chosen a
particular font as the default font (Times New Roman 12)
but every time Outlook starts it has a different default
font (Aerial 12). There seems to be no way that I can set
a default font for Outlook, even though Word 2002 is the
default e-mail editor. What is the deal? Is there any way
that I can set a default font for Outlook 2002?
