Default formats appearing in the Reveal Formatting Task Pane

In the Reveal Formatting Task Pane, the defaults appear to be everything
EXCEPT what I use most -- mainly Body Text. Whenever I create a new document
or edit an existing document, whenever I first open the Reveal Formatting
task pane, I have formats that are secondary -- Block Text, Body Teext
Indent, Bold Block Text, Chart. I have to use the Show drop down list,
select All Styles to get Body Text to appear in the task pane.
Is there a way to set the default so Body Text would appear automatically
when I open it? It is annoying and online help doesn't appear to address it
(at least I've tried to find it)
Thanks in Advance

Thanks, Stefan. I read the article and went through the procedure.
However, the next time I started a new document and opened the Styles and
Formatting task pane -- I got "Available formatting" which doesn't list Body
Text.
Is there a way to have the task pane open with theCustom formatting? That
has what I want.

To change the display settings for a template, open it as a document (via
File | Open) and repeat the procedure(s) described in the article. When you
are done, save and close the file.

In order to determine which styles should be displayed in new, blank
documents, modify the Normal template. To open Normal as a document, you can
search for normal.dot in Windows (be sure to search hidden files and
folders), right-click its icon, and choose Open from the context menu.
