Well, you modify normal style making sure that you select the Add to
Template button. But I would recommend it as modifying normal will have some
very strange knock on effects. It is far better to create your own template
and use that for creating your document.
I suspect Terry would *not* recommend it. Neither would I. I don't recommend
making any changes in the Normal style other than font or font size (and
even the latter can be hazardous).
