default language

i cannot get the default language to remain at UK English. I change the
default using Office 2003 language setting but every time I open a new
document it has reverted to welsh.

Plase please help it is driving me mad.

I tried following the recommendations in the link belwo with no success.
Any other sugestion?

You're sure you have both Windows and Word set to English (UK) and don't
have "Detect language automatically" checked?

Also, keep in mind that text pasted from an external source will bring its
language formatting with it.

did everything suggested again and it the problem does seem to have gone.. I
was being caught out by cuting and pasting from a doc with the text formatted
as welsh into a blank doc set up in UK English.
