I am trying to control the size of our Exchange 2003 mailbox store by setting
Auto Archive settings through group policy and specifying the default pst
location as a folder on a network drive.
I have 2 problems
1) It seems if i specify a location within their user profile e.g.
%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Email Backup this location will be used when you
select File>Archive, but isn't used in the Auto Archive settings like i want
it to be.
2) If i specify a mapped netowrk drive neither the Archive or The Auto
Archive settings pick up the drive as the default location.
I summary i have set auto archive options to archive every week, but i want
the location of that .pst file to be on the file server and not on the C:
drive of their machines.
Can anyone help me acheive this?
We run Exchange 2003 in an 2003 server domain and have Otlook 2003 clients.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Craig
