View the design of the form (View Menu)
Show the field properties (double click the field)
In the Data tab - find the default line
Enter =date()

This will enter todays date into the field as default for
each new record you create.

Sounds great. Only problem is, I don't want today's date.
I'm entering dates that have already passed. Usually I'm
entering a few weeks at a time. So what I'm looking for
is when I select the date (from the embedded calandar)
and put it in the date field, it will fill the date field
with the same date for each entry until I select another
day from the calandar.
