Default page orientation

Carson Samson

Every time I open a new document, it opens in landscape orientation. I¹ve
checked the preferences, but as of yet haven¹t found a way to make an
orientation change permanent. Any advice?

I¹m running Word 2004 on Panther.

Thanks,

Hi Carson,

Go to Format> Document> Layout and click the Page Setup button. A second
dialog box will open. Make the change in orientation from Landscape to
Portrait (the first icon). Click okay. The Page Setup dialog box will
close leaving the Layout dialog box still open. Click the button that says
Default and okay your way out of the dialogs. Somehow your Normal template
(on which all new documents are based) got changed; this is one way to
change it back.
