Default print tray settings.

I am trying to setup a HP LaserJet 4100N printer with bond paper in tray 3
and regular paper in tray 2. I think I have it working, partial, because I
can print from tray 3 when I select bond from the properties button for the
printer. The problem is it does not default back to the printer settings.
If I start a new document, or even close MS Word and start it again, it will
now print to bond paper, tray 3. I need to go back into the properties
button and deselect bond, back to auto select, before it will print back to
the default tray 2.

What am I missing? I have the printer set for bond on tray 3, this seems to
be working. I am telling MS Word to use the printer settings; however, it
will not hold the default settings.

Any ideas or advice is appreciated. I even tried setting up a 2nd printer,
using the same lpt port 2; it is a local printer, for just tray 3 printing.
But even with that setting, if I start a new document or restart MS Word, it
keeps that printer, not the default printer, as the printer it wants to print
to. This has me very confused since it is not the default printer, just
another copy of it.

Thank you.
