Default Program to Open Attachments in Mail

I just bought Office 2004 for my MacBook which is running Parallels
with Vista and Office 2007. I imported all my mail from Outlook into
Mail. Now when I open an attachment from old mail messages or receive
a new one, it starts Parallels and Office 2007. How can I get it to
open in Office 2004 without always saying open with? There must be a
default "open with" setting somewhere.

Thanks

This *should* work. I don't have parallels to test.
In mail.app use the save all button to copy the attachments of a sample
message into a folder somewhere.
In the finder, select one of each attachment one by one and do a get
info (the cmd-opt-i variation will be most convenient here) Play with
the "Open with:" entry, not forgetting the Change All... once you have
decided on the application you want that attachment to be opened with.
Confirm it works when you double click on the attachment in the finder.
Now try again from Mail on a similar attachment.

Please reply on this thread whether that works or not. It would be very
useful knowledge for the group. To be honest, I would not have expected
Parallels to interfere in the first place. That is both neat and scary.

Thanks that worked out great.
