Default project view for new users

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the default project view for new
users?

At the moment anyone new gets a view that has a filter on it and if that
filter means there are no tasks to display they are getting very confused
with the message that is getting displayed. The view is not the first one
alphabetically and I can't work out the logic behind that one appearing by
default.

Thanking you in advance!

Users can set the default Views that displays whenver they launch Microsoft
Project or create a new blank project by doing the following:

1. Click Tools - Options.
2. Select the View tab.
3. Click the Default View pick list and select a View, such as the Gantt
Chart view.
4. Click OK.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply - I didn't make it clear in my question, however that I
meant on the web access project view (2007) rather than in project
professional (out users don't have project professional on their PCs) - any
idea how to set the default there?

There's no way to set a default View for every user on any page in PWA.
Sorry. Instead, I would urge you to make this a training issue with your
people. Hope this helps.

Thought as much but it was worth asking to make sure! I'm getting a lot of
flak from the users about how non-intuitive project server is....

Simply change the order of the views (rename) so a filtered view is
not the first.

Unfortunately it doesn't pick the one from the top of the list as the default
as you'd expect so renaming doesn't work :(
