I don't know of any way to change the default recurrence pattern from
weekly
to yearly. As for the time difference in changing the reminders from 2
days
to 3 "en masse" in Outlook vs. Excel, the only thing I can suggest is to
try
it and if it's taking too long, just do it in Outlook. Some things just
can't be changed easily.

that does not move recurrence yearly or weekly and to me it is not any
faster to change the date to 3 days reminder instead of 2 AFAIK
Try exporting your birthdays category to a .csv and then manipulate the
data
there. Then import it back into Outlook. Ensure the fields are
correctly
mapped as well.

After furious head scratching, justamailman asked:
| I am setting up a birthday list task with birthday date and reminder
| 3 days ahead and recurrence every year. Now is it possible to change
| the default recurrence of weekly to yearly and how.
| Also I have done part of it putting only 2 days ahead reminders . Is
| it possible to change as a bunch to 3 days or change the default here
| also . Thanks
