Outlook 2003:
Here is what is happening in a Law Firm Enviornment:
1. Secretary A calendars a deadline with a 30-day reminder (or whatever)
and sends it to Attorney B and Attorney C.
2. Attorney B and Attorney C “Accept†the appointment.
3. Attorney B and Attorney C open the appointment to review it, to discover
that the Reminder for the appointment no longer matches the 30-day reminder
that Secretary A specified, but instead has changed to the default reminder
in their individual Outlook settings. For Example, if Attorney B has a 2
week default the reminder is now 2 weeks. If Attorney C has a 6 week
default, the reminder is now 6 weeks. Secretary A’s reminder still says
30-days as she originally set it.
This is causing a great amount of havoc given what a huge deal calendaring
and lead time are in this business and we are, of course, quite concerned.
So, a solution would be to figure out how to add 30 days to the pre-defined
reminder options. Please advise oh wise ones. If anyone can figure this one
out you deserve an award!
