Default return address disappears after closing program

I use Office 2003. In Word 2003, i address envelopes using my printer. When
I used to use Office 2000 with Word 2000, my default return address was
stored so I could use it over again. In Word 2003, to make a return address
the default, you enter it in a different location (Tools>Options>User Info.).
When I close Word 2003 & re-open it the next day to address an envelope, my
default return address is gone & I have to re-enter it. Why is this loss
occurring & how can I prevent it so my return address does not have to be
entered each time I re-open Word 2003?

I think we need to establish if it is just the return address only or any
customisations that are not being save. Do a simple test: open File, Page
Setup and change the page margins and click on the DEFAULT button. Go to
Tools, Options, Save tab and make sure that eh option box is checked for
'Prompt to save changes to normal.dot'. Then close Word. Do you get the
prompt to save the changes to normal.dot (the global template)? Obviously,
if you do, answer Yes. Then reopen Word and see if the change to the margins
have stuck.
