is there any way to automatically set up a number of sections with titles in
a folder? for example, i would like to automatically have sections labeled
"a", "b", "c" & "d" in every folder i create.....can i do it other than
opening the sections manually and naming them each every time i open a new
folder?

Not within OneNote.

But since the folder/section layout is based on folders and files in
Explorer, you can create a template folder with prenamed sections and pages,
then whenever you need that setup recreated, go to Explorer and copy/paste
the template folder in your "My Notebook" folder, and it will appear in
OneNote.

After doing this, you can rename the folder and its sections (i.e. the *.ONE
files) from Explorer, but you cannot rename pages from Explorer (since the
page names are inside of the *.ONE section file).
