default server location global address list

I need to change the default server location for the global address list on
my pc. Right now it's set for the c:\documents...\admin... I need to change
it to the exchange server. I can't see a newly added person in active
directory.

Thanks in advance.

The GAL is on the Exchange server (with a possible offline copy on your local machine). You as a user can't change the server location.

Maybe you can explain what you're trying to do in a little more detail.

I figured it out. The problem was with cache mode. Some of the pc's were set
to find the GAL on their c: drive. All I needed to dio was to hit send and
receive all and the new user that I couln't see would show up.

Thanks for responding.
