How do you set defaults for drawing and using textboxes.
WORD default is for fill in the box, I always use no fill
and every time I add a box to a document/drawing ion word
I have to keep changing the word default to no fill?
Can anyone help, maybe thre is no facility to do this in
the software??

To set the default for a given document, right-click on a text box that is
formatted according to your preference and click Set AutoShape Defaults. To
make this the default for all new documents based on Normal.dot, make this
change in Normal.dot itself (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm).
Note, however, that this affects *all* AutoShapes, not just text boxes. If
you give them No Line and No Fill, then shapes you draw will be invisible
after you click away from them unless you first give them a line and/or
fill.

Speaking of text boxes, I have a problem that has completely stumped me.

I have a document that is in 3 column format. I want to put a text box (or any type of box) in the center of the middle column. However, I have 2 requirements of this box: 1) The text must "break around" the box. In other words, I don't want the text to enter the box, be in front of the box, or behind it either. It will simply be around it. 2) I don't want the box to move. It must be anchored somehow. In other words, when you hit enter, or add text above the box, the box will NOT go down. It remains fixed.

Help!
