Default settings

We have changed the default task type to "Fixed Work" in Enterprise
Global. However, when a user opens up Project Professional, it still
shows "Fixed Units" as the default tasktype.

Is it possible at all to propagate the setting from Enterprise Global
to client?

Setting the default Task Type in the Enterprise Global file does not affect
any projects in the Project Server database. Instead, the Enterprise Global
is your organization's "library" of custom Views, Tables, Filters, Groups,
Fields, Reports, etc. The Enterprise Global is also where you can specify
the default currency for your organization.

The only way to change the default Task Type is to ask each project manager
to change it in every enterprise project and to change it in every
enterprise project template as well. Hope this helps.
