default size for graphs

How do I set a default size for a picture (graph, .jpg) I want to insert. I
need to insert many and don't want to go and resize each one after insertion.

There is no setting in Word for that purpose. It might be do-able with VBA
(I believe I saw a macro for a similar purpose some time back), but you're
far better off to finish the objects in a graphics program before inserting
them into a doc... *IF* you insist on stuffing a large quantity of graphic
objects into a Text-based document in the first place. You might be better
off to consider doing this project in Publisher, importing the text from
Word & inserting the graphics accordingly.

If you're referring to a single image (or just a few) - especially if the
sizes are at all variable - I think you'd be just as well off right-clicking
the picture & using Format Picture - Size to set the
measurements/percentage. If each image needs to be consistently resized to
the same specs - and in general - I still strongly recommend doing all
adjustment in a graphics editing program. Save the images the way they
normally need to be used in Word & use the new copies

If there a a number of images in any given doc & you want to resize them all
to the same dimensions you may want to add the Select Multiple Objects
button to a toolbar. Use that to select the objects, then use the Format
Picture dialog.

Especially if the dimensions are variable I can't see where VBA would really
be helpful. This is a completely different situation than that posed in the
thread you posted to, however & should have been submitted as a new topic.
