This has actually been bugging me for quite some time.
Earlier this week, I achieved Inbox 0 by creating a bunch of new folders and
moving all my mail from the Inbox into them. All of them sorted in
descending order by date received, which seems to be the default.
Then I changed a couple of them to sort by From and one or two to Arrange by
Conversation.
I left Inbox sorted in descending order by date recieved.
I was out yesterday, and came in this morning to discover that all the new
folders that I hadn't specifically set to something else were sorting by
From. And not just the new folders, either. A few older folders were also
changed.
I could go into each and every folder and set them all to the sort that I
want, but that will take forever. Is there a quick way to force ALL folders
to sort the SAME way? Or to remove all specific sorts on all folders?
Why does Outlook DO this? It seems very counter-intuitive. Just because I
set ONE folder to sort a certain way does NOT mean I want them ALL to sort
that way.
