Can the default sort order in FP 2003's Web sites View be changed from
the default of Name to Modified Date or any other field?

Thanks.

Yes.
Open your web, click View > Folders. When the files come into view click the header or title of the
column you want to sort by.
FrontPage "should" remember for each web.

Dear Mr. Easton,

Either I don't understand the instructions or I'm not following them
right.

When I open my Web the files are already in view (with the folders on
top) before I click anything. Clicking View > Folders does not change
anything. Then clicking the Modified Date title or header does not get
that sort to remain the default when I close FP and open it again.

What happens when you try this on your own FP?

Thanks.

My mistake. You're right it does not maintain the order when FP is closed and reopened.
