Default spell-checker problem

I use UK English for my spell checker, which is set as the default. For some
unknown reason, I find every now and again that it has reverted to US
English. I think this may be because a lot of people who send me emails use
the US spell checker, and Outlook defaults to US when I reply. How can I
stop this behaviour? Is there a means to completely disable US English?

Check your Language Setting in Control Panel. Make sure it is the same as the
setting in both Outlook and Word.
