Default Tab for Microsoft Word X on Mac 10 Operating system

I have a Mac G-4 and operate on a 10.2 system. I use Microsoft Word X
and am unable to have the tab default always to .3 When I set the
tab to .3 for a new blank page and try to set this .3 as the default,
the next blank page always has the .5 tab, which means I must change
the tab for every new blank page. I would appreciate ideas on how to
default always to the .3 tab. Thanks

Hi Esteinman,

Open your Normal template (/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Templates/).
Make the change there and do a save. Close Normal. Now all new documents
you open will have that setting.

However, are you sure you wouldn't be better off setting up styles for such
formatting? Look up Styles in the Help.
