default template changes

How can I change the Book template? I want to change to
75% view size, 8 point footer font size, etc. I can find
the template, but changing it doesn't change new Books.

There's a folder called XLStart that may contain your Book.xlt template
workbook.

You maybe able to use windows start button|find to search for it.

If you don't have a book.xlt template file, just start a new workbook and set it
up exactly the way you want and save it in your xlstart folder.

(if you do have one, just open it--not as a template, but to actually change
it!) and make your changes and save it back to XLStart.)

And you may want to do the same thing with a workbook named sheet.xlt. It's
used as the template when you add a new sheet to an existing workbook.
