Hi, Wayne.

In WHICH program???

This is the Outlook newsgroup, but I suspect that you are asking about
Microsoft Word - and maybe the current Word 2010? Remember, we're not
looking over your shoulder, so you have to tell us dummies the things that
are so obvious on your screen. :>(

Assuming that you do mean Word 2010, look on the Home Ribbon, where Calibri
11 is shown as the current font. Look VERY closely at the grey bar with the
word "Font" in it. At the far right end of that bar is a barely-visible
icon; click that. On the screen that pops up, choose your font, size and
other options. Then click "Set As Default" in the lower left.

I use Word very seldom these days, so I didn't know the answer, either, but
<F1> brought up Help and a search for "default: font" quickly found this
answer.

Hi, Wayne.

Same question: Which program?

There are MANY flavors of Outlook! Which one are you asking about?

Assuming Outlook 2010, same basic answer as for Word 2010:

RC

We are going, I am afraid, in circles.

The problem has to do with OUTLOOK (Nothing to do with Word - have
that covered)

Wish to set certain syle and size as a DEFAULT in OUTLOOK.

Thank You

Hi, again, Wayne.

In your next post, please answer my question:

WHICH VERSION OF OUTLOOK?

The answer for Outlook 2000 will not work for Outlook XP or Outlook 2010, so
we need to know WHICH version of Outlook you are asking about. Also, please
tell us which version of WINDOWS you are running. The answer for Windows XP
might be different than for Window 8.

If it is Outlook 2010 in Windows 7 or Windows 8, then just press the <F1>
function key, which brings up the Help screen. Find the Search box (near
the top) and type in "default font" and press <Enter>. In a few seconds,
you should see a full page of instructions; read them and select the one
that fits you, then click on that link and read. (As I said before, the
steps for OUTLOOK are basically the same as for Word - and other Office
components.)

Wayne, I don't plan to post in this thread again until you at least tell us
which Outlook and which Windows you are asking about. And confirm that you
have read the Help file for your version of Outlook.

Good luck!

ERASE that! Found "Default" in "Change Style" feature :) Probably
will stay w/2013.

IF you have/find a solution for Outlook 2007 under Win 7, would be
interested, obsessed w/challenge. :)

Hi, Wayne.

Congratulations on finding the fix. ;<)
IF you have/find a solution for Outlook 2007 under Win 7,

Not likely. I still have Win7 installed, but haven't run it in months. And
I haven't run OL 2007 since 2010. But others read this NG and they probably
can help - now that you've told us WHICH versions are involved.
