Default underline

My word 2007 part of Office 2007 professional has suddenly started by default
opening with the underline box active. I cant find a way of removing this
default setting. I dont have any macros running. My other machine doesn't
have this problem. If I do a chart every time I go to the next box underline
has again has to be cancelled. Any help please it is driving me mad.

I found a method, by going into styles menu, clicking show styles menu show.
clicking on normal and changing the default pain to remove the underline
option and it works now. Thanks for your help.

It sounds as if you modified the Normal style? Note that you will have to
choose the "New documents based on this template" option (in the Modify
Style dialog box) to transfer the setting to the template.

Right-click, choose Font, remove the underline, and click Default...
