Default Value as Single Quotes

When I try to enter single quotes in a default value as " " ", the single
quotes don't appear in the table column. How can I remedy this so that the
field will accept " Your help is greatly appreciated.

In a table, you can use 2 single quotes and Access accepts them. However,
Default value, on a text field, in a form does not work.

The table would not accept my 2 single quotes as a default value but I tried
an update query using ["] and although it prompted me for the value, it
appeared to work. Your direction helped me pursue a workaround. Thank
you....
