Default view in PowerPoint 2004

Hi

The only thing I like better about PowerPoint 2003 for pc is that you
can choose to have the slide sorter in the left hand column in Normal
view instead of the outline list. If you do mainly ppictorial slides,
this is a big time saver. I can't find any way to change this in
PP2004. Is it possible?

I'd rather have the slide sorter than the outline, but failing that I
don't want to waste screen space with the outline view, as it is
totally useless to me.

Any pointers much appreciated.

Mac PPt 2004 doesn't have the Slides panel - only the Outline panel. The
feature has been frequently requested, so keep your fingers crossed -
perhaps it will be included in 2008:)

If Microsoft's web site is any indication, it would appear that this feature
is included in Office 2008.

Click "Presentations & Publications", and then click "See Your Story
Develop" on the left side of the window.
