In insert>page numbers, how can I changed the default? It is stuck on
ŒPosition-bottom page, allignment-right¹.

Don't add page numbers that way :)

There are two page number functions in Word, one designed for users who do
not use a running header and footer, the other designed for documentation
professionals who do use a running header and footer.

Go to View>Header and Footer and add your page number within the header or
footer. You can then put it anywhere you like.

Make sure you remove the one added from within the "Document Text". If you
are outside the header or footer when you use Insert>Page numbers... You add
the page number as a floating text box within the main text of the document.
You can select if you are in one of the standard document views. Just
delete it.

Cheers
