Personally I thing several defaults in Access that ought to be changed. I
hate the fact that I have to set every new profile in my office to get rid of
the delayed drop down menus to reveal all that is on the menu. We can't
imagine anyone ever wanting that feature. And it was hard to find the
control to shut the delay off.
In Tools, Options, Edit/Find we have to change the default Search to Start
of Field.
General Search is really stupid. Record Locking should only be Edited Record.
We also especially upset at having to change hyperlinks from http:// to
mailto: Even worse, unlike the delayed menu and other issues, there seems to
be no way to change the default!!! That is really inane.
