Defective Office Pro CD, how to replace it

In a recent trip to Colombia, I bought an Spanish version of MS Office Pro
2003 with BCM and the following serial, code numbers:

289-07172

PODUCT KEY> TJG62-4R64K-VPDRV-8KJ64-F8CMQ

00115-901-463-713

The CD has glue stack in the reading part of the CD, which if removed will
scratch the reading surface of the CD, damaging it. How do I solve this
problem or replace the bad CD.

You should never post your product code.



The CD data is under the label side of the CD. The coating on the reading
side a fairly durable. You are not clear on what type of glue is stuck on
the reading side. If you are dealing with the residue of a label, products
like Goo Gone or WD-40 will likely work to dissolve the glue residue. Other
types of glue will depend on what you are referring to. If you use a
solvent to remove the glue, wash the CD with dish detergent and water wiping
only from center out and then with plan water. Fine scratches on the reading
side may not cause a problem. If there is a problem, there are commercial
products available {Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples and many other vendors}
for repairing scratches on the reading side.
