Degree sign

Anyone know how to insert a degree sign into a cell? I
want to display a bearing as N 53 degrees 12'43" E. Word
allows one to insert a degree sign but I don't see how to
do it in XL2000.

Hi Tim,

Use this code:

ALT 0176

Hold down the ALT key and use the *numeric keypad* and
type 0176. Release the ALT key and there it is.

It was added in, I think, Excel 2002. Earlier versions didn't
have Insert Symbol.

I stand corrected (g)! I don't buy every upgrade and went directly from
Office 95 to Office XP.
