Hi Every One:

I got problem when I transferred my job from Visio 2002 to Visio 2003, the
problem is the execution of macro which it took just 25 seconds in Visio 2002
to accomplish drawing chart but in Visio 2003 it took about 2 minutes and 25
seconds I don't why but I try to do every things to make it faster but
unfortunately I failed.

Pleeeeeeeease help me.

visio appears to need even more memory in the v2003 version, how much do you
have installed and what is your operating system....

I am sorry for the delay MR. Al Edlund

Thank you fro your replayed, I used Microsoft XP Professional with speed 2.8
GHz with 512 MB memory and I think my PC speed is enough to handle this job.

It's often not a matter of processor speed but rather of available RAM. I
often hear others having to upgrade the amount of memory (I personally have
1G on both my XP systems). How complex is the macro and what does it do?

Thank you for your replay, first of all this macro used to read excel file
that contains information about organization structure, units, departments,
groups and then Visio read this file and draw chart, the problem is when we
used 2002 VISIO every went OK and Visio only takes 25 seconds to draw but
when we upgrade the VISIO to 2003 version the VISIO takes more than 2 minutes
to draw chart for same file, you can use the template by downloading the
template from the following link.

1. For the Visio 2002 that it takes 25 seconds this the template (You must
use 2002 Version)

http://us.f1f.yahoofs.com/bc/11bf969/bc/VISIO/2002Template.vst?bfbD.2BBI3V0xGVl

2. For the Visio 2003 that it takes 2 minutes this is the template (By using
2003 vesion)

http://us.f1f.yahoofs.com/bc/11bf969/bc/VISIO/2003Template.vsd?bfbD.2BB_LDzzWm3

3. Then in vision menu select TOOLS- MACROS- ThisDocument- GenOrgChart then
the selection windows appears select the excel file and chart will be drawed.

Here is the excel file
