I have a very simple 2 system network configured via the hub built into my
ADSL modem/router.
System A has a shared drive that holds all the Word & Excel files that are
shared between the two users. System B can see the shared files and is
allowed to open them. They display promptly but it takes another 20-40
seconds we can edit them, somee times it displays "Not Responding". This
also happens when opening local files as well. As soon as I disconnect the
Ethernet cable the local files open instantly.
Have configured a Shared folder on System B and system A can access the
files it contains instantly. It seems to be just System B to System A.
Any ideas please?
