Delay in Opening Office 2007 Documents

Have a user that when opening an Office 2007 Document either locally or from
a network share takes several minutes to open. If you open the Office
Application first then open your file from the Office Button the file will
open. Have fully patched Office and have even uninstalled and reinstalled
Office. The reinstall of Office worked for about 24 hours.

Check to see if there are any mapped drives that are disconnected.
Try unmapping them to see if that makes the problem go away.

OK, then open up enough files from the LOCAL hard drive to fill up the "most
recently used" list. That'll push off any possible files that were once available
on the network but no longer there.
