delay opening file from hard disk

When I open an existing presentation (about 10 MB) it
needs 20 mins to open from HD.
I copy the same file to a cdrom and open it from there and
it opens in 15 secs.

I use Windows Me Greek and Office 2000 greek.

Have you checked the settings on your virus scan software? The file on
the CD is read only, so that may make a difference to your virus
program.
