Delay When Switching to a Word 2007 Document

I recently installed Office Enterprise 2007 that included Word 2007. With a
Word document open on my desktop, when I switch into the document from
another application, I get a delay of 2-5 sec (hour glass) before I have the
cursor and can continue typing. What can I do to eliminate this delay?

In my case, the delay was caused by the Adobe 8 add-in. Removing it cost me
no functionality (since it doesn't work in Word 2007 anyway), and got rid of
the delay when switching between Word document windows. If you have Adobe,
