Delegate can't accept meetings for parent user.

Hello all, my name is Robert and I am an IT guy, one of my users who is a
delegate of one of our clergy members is no longer able to accept meetings
for the person she is a delegate of.

I am using Outlook 2003 in a Windows XP environment, the delegate is an
editor of the parent user's account, but when she goes to accept a meeting,
it tells her that she has insufficient permissions, I forget the exact
message.

If anyone can shed some light on this, that would rock.

Thanks,
Robert

Editor permission on a folder <> delegate privileges. Start Outlook with a profile to access the "parent user's" mailbox, and check the delegate settings in Tools | Options | Delegates.

Sue, thanks for your reply, could I do this from the "parent user's" mailbox
on her computer? I don't yet have access to our exchange server, and our
administrator is out right now. Also, what exactly am I looking for in the
delegate settings screen?
I apologize for my being so naive, I am still fairly new to outlook.

The Tools | Options | Delegates dialog should tell you who is set up as a delegate and what permissions they have on what folders. You need to be looking at the clergy member's Delegates dialog, not the delegate's. It will tell you if she's really set up as a delegate.
