Delete a block of text

J

Joyce

When I forward an email message, I want to delete the previous e,mail
addresses of all the places the email has been sent to before I got it. I
highlight the selected text and hit the delete button. All of a sudden I get
a message at the bottom of the email that says "Delete Block? No (Yes)". I
now have to type "Y" in order to delete the selected text. How can I turn
the verification for block deletion off?

Version of Outlook? Are you using Word as your editor? (outlook 2003 and
earlier)

:
It seems I need help with the help menu LOL. I am having the same problem
and cannot turn this delete block feature off. It's so time consuming. Have
you figured out how to stop it as yet?

It's not an outlook behavior. Do you have any addins installed? Look in
tools, options, other, advanced, addins. If using Word as your email
editor, are there any addins installed for it?

Please include the message you are replying to so that others can follow the
thread easier.

Hi,
I have unchecked both add ins and restarted the computer (just in case).
There is nothing in com addins. Delete block is still there.
I have tried someone elses link/suggestion to go to: tools-options-general
and untick two word perfect options but there is no 'general' to click on. Is
this a different program they are running to me as it seems to have worked
for them.

Ok! Here's the answer: Open email>forward or reply>options>general>untick two
boxes for word perfect users. Eureka!!! This has been driving me nuts for
ages!!!
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for letting us know. We're seeing fewer and fewer issues with the
word perfect settings, apparently because fewer and fewer people are
converting from word perfect and not using those settings.
