I have a very peculiar situation I'm not sure if this is an Outlook client
issue or an Exchange issue so I will be posting the same question in the
Exchange newsgroup. Here is the scenario:
Server: Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition running on Windows Server 2003 EE
Client: Outlook 2003 SP1
Delegate: Outlook 2003 SP1
I have a single user who has her assitant maintain her calendar, her
assistant is setup with 'Editor' rights on the calendar. The problem is that
whenever the delegate tries to delete a single occurence of a recurring
appointment NOTHING happens. I had the mailbox owner try to delete the same
single occurrence and NOTHING happened. The appointment remains there and the
free/busy time for that user does NOT clear either. I have tried to start
Outlook with the /cleanfreebusy switch on the mailbox owner's PC and still
NOTHING, the item does not delete PERIOD.
Interesting thing is that if I get the mailbox owner to login via OWA and
look at the calendar the appointment is not there (does not show up). So I
thought it might be a view related problem, nope. I tried to schedule an
appointment from my calendar with the person having this problem (mailbox
owner) for the same time as the occurrence we were trying to delete and
free/busy shows that user as busy for that time duration.
So after searching everywhere I have come to a conclusion that something is
wrong with that user's free/busy schedule and its not cleaning up properly.
Thank you in advance for any help from anyone!
