delete attachment in outlook

I open outlook, right mouse click on my attachment and the "remove" option is
grayed out.

Is there a fix for this? I can open the message, select edit, select edit
message and then remove the attachment - BUT the other way should work??

Thanks

Nope, it doesn't. Only works when you open the message first.

I understand opening the message. My remove option is grayed out, after i
open the message and try to "remove" the attachment.

I actually have to go to edit, edit message before I can remove the
attachment.

For what version of Outlook? Does message format makes a difference to you?

Try this cool addin i got from Priasoft. It has a cool attachment view
of all attachments across all messages from a specfic sender. You can
then open, save, forward, move, ect.
