A client of mine tried to create a new toolbar in Word. She made several
attempts (naming them Toolbar 1 and Toolbar 2 and Toolbar 3). Now that I
have solved her original problem, I want to delete these three empty
toolbars.
I went to Tools | Customize | Toolbars tab and highlighted one of the empty
toolbars. I clicked DELETE and repeated the process for the other two
toolbars. When I close Word and come back in, the toolbars are still listed
as available (although empty) toolbars.
Any idea what could be interfering with the deletion process? I even
renamed them (junk, trash, and garbage) and then tried to delete them. No
luck.
