delete does not work button after highlighting a word...

I tried the options already assigned to this question but to no avail,,, I
can not dete a full word after highlighting... another step maybe?

Are you using Microsoft Access (the topic of this newsgroup)? If so, are
you in a form, a query, or a table when you try this? Do you have access to
modify the data?
